Application Support Analyst required to join my successful and rapidly expanding client based in Wiltshire.

Working as part of a team on a 24 x 7 shift pattern, the Application Support Analyst will provide 1st and 2nd line support and monitoring for my client’s technical platform. This will involve the investigation and resolution of issues relating to Oracle Databases and Unix (Solaris) Servers.

The Application Support Analyst will need the following experience:

• Experience supporting bespoke applications
• Experience monitoring applications (platform checks, reporting, change requests)
• Experience manipulating and writing SQL queries
• Working knowledge of command line utilities
• Experience supporting business processes and applications, not just desktop support
• As a minimum, some commercial UNIX (ideally Solaris) System Administration experience
• As a minimum, some commercial experience supporting an Oracle Database
• Basic appreciation of Java or other similar programming languages would be beneficial
• Excellent communication and prioritisation skills
